I know its an anime supposedly aimed at young teens but I can't ignore the way some characters tend to do dumb low IQ stuff in some stories. For example, he knows that he is supposed to keep Vermeil's identity a secret yet the first thing he did is to straight up ask probably the smartest professor he knows, about his SPECIFIC issue on demon - human relations. Like... you'd have to be a fool to not figure the professor guy wouldn't put 2 and 2 together. He should have at least try to make it seem more natural. Maybe stage it so that he is reading a set of books in the library just before the professor walks in and then pose the question to him along with a couple other off-topic ones.
